Description
This one-day course is ideal for anyone supervising or conducting the disposal of drilling fluids, cuttings and muds in Alberta, Saskatchewan and/or British Columbia. This course deals with the Alberta Energy Resources Conservation Board (ERCB) Drilling Waste Management Guidelines (Directive 050), Saskatchewan Industry and Resources Saskatchewan Drilling Waste Management Guidelines (Information Guideline GL 99-01), and British Columbia’s requirements as detailed in the British Columbia Oil and Gas Handbook.
This program covers an overview of the guidelines, quality assurance/quality control, sampling equipment and techniques, microtox bioassay, data interpretation and calculation of loading rates, policy administration and data handling, reclamation certification criteria, application of the guidelines in the field and sumpless drilling. Hands-on demonstrations of personal field sampling and analysis equipment are included.
